Before purchasing a second hand property, most homebuyers want a full understanding of the condition of the property and its components. When you’re buying a car, a mechanic checks that all of its components are working correctly, similarly, during a second hand house or apartment pre-purchase survey, a surveyor checks that all of a property’s components are functioning correctly. A complete inspection and clear, comprehensive detailed report covers all areas such as:
  • Full interior & exterior building survey.
  • Water penetration & damp check of all walls, floors, ceilings and roofing.
  • Interior & exterior check of all windows and doors, frames, seals etc.
  • Plumbing & heating check, mains supply/distribution, fixtures & fittings, cisterns, traps/waste/drains, venting, central heating boiler, controls/thermostats etc.
